“WHAT SHALL WE DO?”

This is the day that the Lord has made!  I will, we will, we shall rejoice and be glad in it!  For it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves!  So that makes us God’s people!!  We are the sheep of His pasture!  We will praise Him forever, from generation to generation!!  We will proclaim your praise!!  Because “praise” is a weapon!  And when we praise and as we praise, it confounds the enemy!!  It makes null and void his tactics, and it shuts down and stops his plans!!

Our God is Awesome!  Our God is magnificent!  Our God is Excellent!  Our God is powerful!  Our God is not a man that He should lie!  His Word stands through the test of time, and it endures forever!!!!

And with all that is going on in America and the world, we should still be giving God praise!!  All that is happening is in God’s plan to bring to pass everything He has said!!!  

• Ecclesiastes 1:9  There is no new thing under the sun.

After promoting hate and violence; threats against other races of people; belittling women; making fun of the mentally challenged; causing division and separation, Donald Trump has been placed in the highest office as President of the United States.  The question and message for today is:

“WHAT SHALL WE DO?” SUBTOPIC: “OUR GOD SHALL”!!

THIS IS WHAT GOD IS SAYING TO HIS PEOPLE:

1. FEAR NOT:   2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Even though we might feel afraid, we can believe that God is with us!!  We may not be in control, but we can surely trust the One who is (our God)!!

If you listen to the Media, you will hear that people are afraid!  And I said within myself, “they truly don’t know God”!  If they really knew God, they would know that prophecy is being fulfilled, and we’re seeing it unfold before our very eyes.  

In Daniel 7, King Nebuchadnezzar saw it in a dream, and Daniel was given the interpretation by God.  Daniel 7:3 refers to the four great beasts came up from the sea.  This “sea” was not the Mediterranean but out of the “nations” of people!  John the Revelator saw it in Revelation 12:12.  God gave them dreams of world events that were to come and is now here unfolding in our day.

In their dreams they saw “kingdoms”.  There have always been government systems in existence!  Even we are under a “government system”!

What is “government”?  Government is the system by which a state or community is controlled.  Forms of “government” or forms of state governance refers to the set of political systems and institutions that make up the organization of a specific government.

God is speaking to our hearts because He does not want us to be consumed or driven by our emotions, hate, and fears in the days ahead!

2. Hebrews 13:5  I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.

How many of you here today believe that when God speaks, you can take it to the bank and draw interest on it!  Once He has spoken, there should be no doubt, confusion, nor unbelief but full assurance of all that He says!

These were the words Moses spoke unto Joshua when he was being appointed in his stead:  and these same words are as potent now as they were then.

Deuteronomy 31:8  And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee:  he will be with thee; he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee:   fear not, neither be dismayed!

With all that may arise in the days of the four years ahead, God is with us, and He will take care of us if we believe because it is all by “faith”!

God is still answering the question – “What shall we do”?

3. BELIEVE AND STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD:

When we do that, our God shall be a firm foundation, a shield and buckler!  

• Philippians 4:19  Our God shall supply all our need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  

Every time Jesus came against Satan in Matthew chapter four, He used the Word of God against him.  

• Hebrews 4:12  For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

When we stand on the Word of God and speak it with faith and authority, our God shall perform it!  

4. The question has been and is asked, “What shall we do”?

1 THESSALONIANS 5:17  PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.

Prayer is essential to the vitality of our relationship to and with God.  Prayer gives us the ability to function and not function only, but to withstand (face; confront; fight off; oppose; defy) the wiles of the devil.  Prayer is mere communication with God.  It does not mean that you have to be laid out all day and night or in a certain position, but “pray without ceasing” means being mindful of God’s presence; thinking of His goodness!  Actually, prayer is a way of life, being continually in an attitude of prayer for others.  When we do this, our God shall answer when we pray.  

• Isaiah 65:24  And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Going right back to His word:

• John 5:14-15  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.  Vs 15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
• James 5:16: The effectual fervent (effective; successful; productive; constructive) prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much.

Let me tell you, “The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with”!

What is “availeth”?  It means to be of use or advantage!  (FYI – for your information), don’t ever let the devil make you feel like you’ve done or said something to keep you from going to God in prayer!  If anything that’s all the more reason to go to God in prayer!

GOD IS STILL ANSWERING THE QUESTION:  WHAT SHALL WE DO?

5. TRUST AND DEPEND ON HIM!

The time is now that we must put our trust in God!  Our trust can’t be in these jobs, money, or other people, but it has to be solely in GOD!  The job is only a resource, but God is our SOURCE!  Regardless of what the days or years ahead may bring, remember God will take care of us!!

It has been proven that God always took care of His people.  

Remember they too were under government systems.  The children of Israel were under an Egyptian government ruled by the Pharaohs, the Assyrians, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, and then Papal Rome (papacy-which deals with the popes).  These are representatives of the beast with the seven heads in Revelation chapter twelve.  After the fall of Rome during the early church, the Bishops of Rome enjoyed no temporal power until the time of Constantine.  Constantine became the western Emperor in 312, and the sole Emperor in 324.  He was the first Emperor to adhere to Christianity.  He issued an Edict of Milan that protected Christians in the empire and he himself converted to Christianity after having a vision before the battle against Maxentius.  He said in the vision he was promised victory if he fought under the sign of the cross.  He ordered the Greek letters Chi and Rho, the first two letters of Christ’s name, to be marked on his soldiers shields.  With these letters on their shields, Constantine’s forces defeated Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge which crosses the Tiber River.  As a result of his vision, Constantine became a strong supporter of Christianity.  He himself converted to Christianity on his death bed in 337.  (This is from the World Book Encyclopedia).

You see how God has always taken care of His own people and always will?

God used Martin Luther in 1517, preaching that it was “justification by faith” through the “grace” of God that pardoned sinners.   And it was not “indulgences” that was the means of pardoning sinners from part of the penalty for their sins.  Luther felt that the practice of selling “indulgences” was sometimes abused as a means of raising money, and it degraded the forgiving grace of God and weakened the church itself.  His Ninety-Five Theses he posted on the door of the Castle church in Wittenberg, drew him into direct conflict with the church.  But many took hold of the message, “justification by faith”, and thousands left the Catholic Church and turned to Christianity.  This wounded the head of the beast in Revelation 13:3.  God has always had a remnant that He used!  

• Revelation 13:3  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The deadly wound was healed under the cloak of “religious order” (the false church system) that’s in operation today.  

• Revelation 17:11  And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and of the seventh, and goeth into perdition. This is inclusive of the government system we are under today!  

But down through the Eons of time, with each head of the “beast” that tried to hold God’s people in bondage, God brought His people out!  The same God that was in control then is the same God who is in control now!!  

• Malachi 3:6  FOR I AM THE LORD, I CHANGE NOT!  
• Hebrews 13:8  JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND FOREVER!!!

REMEMBER, there is yet a “government” to come, and of it there shall be no end.  I’m talking about the “government of God”; the Church; the Stone that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream!  Remember the “image”?  

• Daniel 2:34 when Daniel was giving him the interpretation, he said: Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.  Verse 35  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.  Verse 44  And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed:  and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

This is speaking of God’s kingdom, the Church, a living organism walking through the earth with the dominion, authority, and power of the Living God, ruling and reigning in and over the earth as God has ordained through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost!!!

Actually the “KINGDOM OF GOD” is already in the earth and has been established by JESUS CHRIST, and it is established within the true believers.

• Luke 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here!  Or, lo there!  For, behold, the “kingdom of God” is within you!  

It’s time for the “church” to stop waiting for Jesus to come back and do what needs to be done in the earth.

• John 17:4  He has finished the work His Father sent Him to do.  

It’s time for the “sons of God” (male & female) to get busy about our Father’s business in the earth!!  

• Romans 8:19  For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.  

NOT JESUS BUT US, THE CHURCH, THE “SONS OF GOD”!!!

GOD’S KINGDOM SHALL FILL THE EARTH, AS HE SAID IT SHALL!!

We may feel the pressure of the “government system” with Trump in office, but God will prevail!!  He took care of Daniel and the Hebrew boys who were under the Babylonian system of government that threatened their lives, but God brought them out because they would not bow and give in to the system!

No worries, people of God!  The government of God shall destroy all those other kingdoms, and of God’s kingdom, there shall be no end!  We’re only going through the process!  So rejoice and be glad, all you people!

Isaiah 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Remember in Isaiah 14, Lucifer had an “I” disease.  But God had an antidote for it!  (Isaiah 14:12-20).

God is working purpose even in Trump.  I believe God will use Trump in this position to bring him to his senses and those who stand with him.  In the end Trump like Nebuchadnezzar will KNOW, THAT GOD IS GOD!!!

Daniel 4:30  Is not this “great Babylon”, that “I” have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?  Verse 31  While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken:  The kingdom is departed from thee.  (Verses 32-37 read at your convenience).

So give God praise, glory, and honor through all of this!  (1) Let us not be fearful;  (2) Know that God will never leave nor forsake us;  (3) Believe and stand on God’s Word;  (4) Pray without ceasing;  (5) Trust and depend on God!

FOR OUR GOD SHALL SEE US THROUGH!!!
