“Let the redeemed of the LORD SAY SO”!

Text:  Psalm 107:1-2 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good:  for his mercy endureth forever.  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
You and I had been held captive to sin, “but God through Christ” has purchased our pardon and set us at liberty.  When a person has this life changing experience, he or she would want to cry out “I’ve been redeemed, bought with a price – Jesus has changed my whole life”!
The word redeemed comes from the Hebrew word padah’, meaning to sever [cut off; cut apart; separate]; ransom; to release; preserve; to deliver; to rescue.
How many know we have been delivered from sin and death?  Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

RAHAB TO REHAB

Text:  Joshua 2:1
And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho.  And they went, and came into a harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.
Rehabilitation – an action or process of rehabilitating or to be rehabilitated.
Rehabilitate – to restore to a former capacity; to restore to a condition of health or useful and constructive activity.
Rehabilitant – disabled person undergoing rehab.
In the natural, we do many things without a second thought, such as getting out of bed and getting dressed without assistance, walking your dog in a park, dashing down a basketball court, mowing the lawn.  We just do these things.  Usually, we don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the great gift we have to move, bend, lift, throw, or push without limitation.  But an injury or illness can take away those abilities, and suddenly everyday activities become an extraordinary task.
During those times, the “rehabilitant” will need rehabilitation.  Keep one thing in mind - who you choose to provide your physical rehab can impact the rest of your life.
