“The Lord’s Supper” (pt.2)

Text:  Matthew 26:20-30: [The Lord’s Supper instituted]:

·         Vs 26: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat, this is my body”.

·         Vs 27-28: And he took the cup and gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, “Drink you all of it, for this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many, for the remission of sins”.

·         Vs 29: But I say unto you, “I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day [after His resurrection] when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom”.  (Mk.14:22-26; Lk.22:14-20).

As was defined in part 1, SUPPER in the Greek is deip’non (dipe’non), meaning dinner; the chief meal; feast.  It goes to dapane (dap-an’ay), meaning to devour (eat hungrily; heartily; feast on).

This is the taking of the bread and wine, known as Holy Communion or the Eucharist.

We left off in part one with what Jesus said in John 6:53-58:

·         John 6:53: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you!

·         Vs 54: Whoso eat my flesh and drink my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

The “last day” not being the “judgment day” when Jesus comes back to rapture the church and the dead in Christ rises and goes with Him back to heaven as taught by religious order.  But Christ Himself is the “last day” which is the fulfilling or continuation of all the Father began in Genesis and will continue forever!!  Revelation 1:8: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, which is and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty:  vs 17: “Fear not, I am the first and the last”.

·         John 6:55: For my flesh is meat indeed and my blood is drink indeed: vs 56: He that eat my flesh and drink my blood dwells in me and I in him:  vs 57: As the living Father hath sent me and I live by the Father:  so he that eats me, even he shall live by me:  Vs 58: This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna and are dead:  he that eats of this bread shall live forever.

The epistle to the church at Pergamos:

·         Revelation 2:17: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; “To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it”.

The “hidden manna”:   We that have received the revelation truth of God’s Word are already eating of the “hidden manna” that’s in the golden pot that never spoiled.  In relation to this “hidden manna”, one doesn’t have to gather it daily, it is a continuous eating of the body of Jesus Christ’s flesh body, which is an eating or receiving of the Word of God, that was made flesh (St. John 1:1, 14).

Why is this manna “hidden”?  Hidden is the root word krupto (kroop’to) meaning to conceal (by covering); hide (one’s self); keep secret.  Remember the “manna” the Israelites received in the wilderness they had to go out and gather it daily!  But this hidden manna is from “within”, being revealed by the Spirit, by the Holy Ghost!

·         John 16:13: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth:  for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:  and he will show you things to come.

·         1st Corinthians 2:14: For the natural (psuchikos’) [sensitive (keenly susceptible to stimuli; tender; raw; easily offended; caters to the flesh)] man receives not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.

So this “hidden manna” is a continuous eating of the flesh body of Jesus Christ, which is an eating or receiving of the Word of God, with the full discernment of who God is in you and who you are in God!  God has “hidden” Himself in man and until one comes to know that that man or woman they see daily and the one they look at in the mirror is God in flesh form, He (God) will remain secretly concealed or hidden from them.  Even though He is continually on the scene, they won’t know that God “is present” in that person until they begin to see Him by the Spirit.  Jesus was God in flesh form (St. John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God:  (vs 10) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not:  (vs 14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.  The good news is, “As he is, so are we, in this world” (1st John 4:17).  We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).  So Jesus is still walking the earth in a physical flesh body, who is us, the Church (you and I)!!!  HALLELUJAH!!!  [I've got to take a praise break]!!!

Remember what Jesus said and did in our main scripture: Matthew 26:26: And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat, this is my body”.

When one eats something, whatever they’ve eaten is no more except in them!  Jesus was saying to them, in a little while this physical body I’m in will not be with you as it is now, but me breaking this bread and giving it to each of you I’m letting you know that I will be in each of you individually by the Spirit as a many-membered body!   It’s still going to be me with you not as “one man” but I’ll be in you by Spirit but as a “whole body of people”!!  1st Corinthians 12:12-13: As the body is one, and hath many members (mel'os) [limbs; parts] and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body:  SO ALSO IS CHRIST!!  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.  Vs 27: Now you are the BODY OF CHRIST and members in particular.

·         Revelation 2:17: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; “To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it”.

What is the “white stone”?

“White is the Greek root word leukos’, meaning light.  Our “God is light” (1st John 1:5).  Light here being “phos”, meaning (to shine or make manifest by rays).  What “rays”?  The light from the “Alpha” – “Beta” rays of the “sun”, typifying we must become acquainted with God’s spiritual “alphabets”, or God’s language in relation to His “Son” (Jesus Christ) to the other “sons” of God that we are become and are aware of by revelation knowledge!

Ephesians 1:17-23 (Paul’s prayer for the saints):   Vs 17: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom (sophi’a) [spiritual wisdom] [of things human and divine] and revelation (apokal’upsis) [disclosure; enlightenment; manifestation; coming; appearing; taking off of the cover so as to see and understand things one has never seen and understood before] in the knowledge (epig’nosis) [recognition; full discernment; acknowledgement] of him:  vs 18: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

The other definition of “light” (phos) is illumination meaning light; to give light to; to make clear or clarify; to explain; to inform; fire.  Illumination connotes “light as reaching the mind”.  This tells us we’ve got to have “knowledge” to live!  Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for the lack (absence; want; need) of knowledge!  Knowledge is power and knowledge is life!

·         St. John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  Vs 2: The same was in the beginning with God.  Vs 3: All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.  Vs 4: In him was life (Zoe) [God life]:  and the life (Zoe) [God life] was the light (phos) (knowledge) of men.

The stone being “white” or "the light", typifies the total of God Himself being within His people through the Son Jesus the Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost, in righteousness.

“Stone” is the root word pse’phos, meaning a pebble (as worn smooth by handling); implied (of use as a counter or ballot) a verdict (of acquittal) or ticket (of admission).

·         Isaiah 8:14: And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

·         Isaiah 28:16: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, “Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation:  he that believeth shall not make haste”.

We know that Jesus is the "chief cornerstone".  (Ephesians 2:19-20) Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles, and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.  We are "lively stones" in Him. (1st Peter 2:5) You also, as lively (living) stones, are built up a spiritual house.  Then Jesus said, He is the Light of the world.  (John 8:12) "I am the light of the world".  Then He said, we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).  He is also the righteousness of the Father.  (Jeremiah 23:5-6) Behold, the days come said the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.  In his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely:  and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. And we are the Father's righteousness in Christ.  (2nd Corinthians 5:21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  So with Jesus being the Stone and we being stones in Him, and He being the Light, and we being the light in Him, He being the Righteousness of the Father, and we being the Father's righteousness in Him, this shows how the "white (light) stone" is the righteousness of God, which we the church now are.  (Revelation 19:8): And to her (the wife/church) was granted that she should be arrayed (clothed) in fine linen, clean and white (light):  for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Daniel 2 [Daniel is interpreting Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of the image] (vs 31-35) he speaks of “the stone”:

·         Vs 34: Thou saw till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay and break them to pieces.  Vs 35: Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them:  and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Luke 20:8-18 (Jesus speaking about the parable of the man that planted a vineyard-then of the stone):

·         Vs 17: And he beheld them and said, “What is this then that is written, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner”?

·         1st Peter 2:6-8: Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, “Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:  and he that believes on him shall not be confounded”.  Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:  but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner:  and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:  whereunto also they were appointed.

Jesus Christ is “the white stone” which is our “verdict of acquittal" (declaration of innocence) of being delivered from “sin and death”!

·         Romans 8:2-: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  Vs 3: For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh:  vs 4: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

We (Christ's body) now are become those “white stones” or “stones of light” manifesting God’s righteousness in the earth!

·         Isaiah 61:3: To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

·         2nd Corinthians 5:21: God made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

·         1st Peter 2:5: You also as lively (zah’o) [quickened; made alive [by inhaling the “pneu’ma”, the Spirit of the Living God] stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

The “lively stones” are those that God has quickened and made alive through truth and brought out of religious order through His wisdom and revelation of the understanding of who God Himself is in them and who they are in Him as His representatives and ambassadors in the earth right now!!

The “white stone” is also our "ticket of admission" into the kingdom of God or that great mountain Daniel prophesied about in chapter 2:

·         Luke 12:32: Fear not little flock:  for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 17:20: The kingdom of God comes not with observation (ocular vision):  vs 21: Neither shall they say, Lo here!  Or, lo there!  For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Romans 14:17: The kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

1st Corinthians 4:20: The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power!

Revelation 5:9: And they sung a new song saying, “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:  for thou was slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.  Vs 10: And hast made us unto our God kings and priests:  and we shall reign on (over) the earth.  [Not up yonder, but on the earth]!!

Kingdom comes from the root word basilei’a, meaning royalty or people of royal blood or status.  We have royal blood in us because we are washed in the blood of the crucified Lamb.

·         Hebrews 9:12: Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The rest of the definition of “kingdom” as basilei'a, is rule; a realm. Then it goes to another root word basileus, which is a foundation of power; sovereignty (supreme power and authority).  Look at what Jesus said:

·         Luke 10:19: Behold, I give unto you power (exousi’a) [privilege; force; freedom; mastery; token of control; delegated influence; authority; right; liberty; jurisdiction; superhuman] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy:  and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

·         Acts 1:8: You shall receive power (dunamis) [miracle working power] after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

What is the “new name” that's in the stone?

·         Revelation 2:17: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit say unto the churches:  “To him that overcome will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone and in the stone a new name written, which no man know saving he that receive it”.

This “new (fresh; youthful; regenerate) name” is the name we receive through the eating of this Bread, who is Christ the Word of God made flesh, that we also are become.  1st Corinthians 10:17: For we being many are one bread and one body:  for we are all partakers of that one bread!!!  Ephesians 5:30: We are members (parts; limbs) of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones!! Remember we're the "lively stones" with the new name, and our new name is “THE WORD OF GOD”!  2nd Corinthians 3:2: You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:  vs 3: Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Still talking about the "LORD'S SUPPER"!

·         Revelation 19:13: He was clothed with a vesture dipped (bap'to) [covered entirely; fully]  in blood:  and his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.

We Christ’s body are the vesture (himat’ion) [to put on) a dress (inner or outer); garment; raiment; robe; apparel] that Jesus put on (the flesh of man), that covered Him, that has been dipped in His precious blood.

·         St. John 1:11: He came to his own and his own received him not.  Vs 12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on his name:  Vs 13: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  Vs 14: And the Word was made flesh:

We know that’s in reference to Jesus:   Philippians 2:7: But made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

But it’s inclusive of us as well:   Ephesians 5:30: We are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

·         1st Peter 1:18-19: Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; vs 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you:   vs 21: Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

·         1st John 4:17: As he is, so are we, in this world!!

So in relation to all Jesus did for us on Calvary’s cross, in accordance with the Lord’s supper”:

·         John 6:50: This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof and not die.

So this bread gives “life”!  Life being Zoe’, that which is “eternal and everlasting”.  This is “life” as God Himself, not just have, but is!  That “life” that He gave to His Son Jesus!  John 5:26: As the Father hath life (Zoe) in Himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life (Zoe) in himself!

This is the “life” that Adam had when he (male/female) was walking in dominion, authority, and power in God but became alienated (isolated; estranged), not annihilated (destroyed utterly; obliterated) from, through the fall.  But God, by His grace and mercy has restored us back to this “life”:

·         John 3:15-16: Whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal (quality) life.  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting (unending) life.

·         John 10:10: The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The “abundant life” is not just having life, but it is “being life”!!  When you “are life”, no one can take it from you!  John 10:17-18 (Jesus said) Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again”.  No man take it from me, but I lay it down of myself.  I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.  This commandment have I received of my Father.

John 6:51: I am the living bread which came down from heaven:  if any man eat of this bread he shall live forever:  and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

John 14:6: I am the way, I am the truth, and I am the life!

·          How is this Bread received?

·         John 6:53: Jesus said to them, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, except you eat [devour; ingest; digest] the flesh of the Son of man (the Word), and drink [to imbibe; absorb] his blood you have no life in you.

·         Vs 54: Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, hath eternal life:  and I will raise him up at the last day.

“AT” in this verse is defined as peree’, meaning through (all over), around; concerning; on behalf of; pertaining to / also (per’an) meaning to pierce through; across; beyond; on the other side.

This “piercing through to the other side” is NOT laying down this physical body and moving into the spirit realm, but we pierce through the veil of the flesh from the side of darkness into the side that contains the marvelous light, from ignorance to knowledge, from torment unto perfect peace by the transformation of renewing our minds from that which is carnal to that which is spiritual, and move from death into life eternal.

·         Romans 8:6: To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace!

The “LAST" in that verse is es’chatos, meaning contiguity (in contact; touching); farthest; final (of place or time); uttermost; latter end / also (ech’o) meaning [to hold; accompany; begin to amend; keep; recover; reign; rest; return; use].  And DAY is (hemer’a) meaning [to sit]; tame (changed from a wild state); gentle (of the upper class; refined; courteous); day; daily; age; forever.

Jesus is saying here that those that “eat His flesh” and “drink His blood”, He would raise (anis’temi) cause to stand upright or be lifted up out of the darkness of ignorance, destruction and death and cause them to pierce through into the light of life, by burying the old manand walking (living) in the “newness of life” by putting on the “new manwhich is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (Colossians 3:9-10).  This can only be done “IN CHRIST JESUS”!  Jesus Himself is the first day” and the “last day or the “beginning” of all things and the "ending" (fulfilling or completion) of all things:

·         Revelation 1:8: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Back to the eating of the Bread:

·         John 6:55: For my flesh (sarx) [as stripped of the skin], strictly the meat of an animal (as food) is meat (to eat; food; devour; pasture; fodder; feed; graze) indeed and my blood is drink (pos’is) [a draught (a drawing in; a taking in; an inhalation)] indeed (truly; surely; verily; of a truth).

·         Vs 56: He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me, and I in him.

·         Vs 57: As the living Father hath sent me and I live by the Father:  so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.

·         Vs 58: This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:  he that eats of this bread shall live forever.

Jesus’ flesh is received by us devouring it!  Devour means to eat (food or prey) hungrily or hastily!  That was how the Israelites had to eat the lamb before their exit out of Egypt!

·         Exodus 12:11: And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste:  it is the LORD’S Passover.

Haste in this verse, is the Hebrew word chippazown’ (khip-paw-zone’), meaning hasty flight.  Then haste goes to another root word which is chaphaz’ (khaw-faz’) meaning to start up suddenly, so as to haste away.  Haste out of Webster as a noun means rapidity; excessive speed of urgency of movement or action.  We to must be ready to move as the Spirit of God leads to go, do and to say!

To receive Jesus’ flesh and blood, it must be ingested (taken in by swallowing or absorbing).  Then it has to be digested.   Digest as a verb, means to break down (food) in the alimentary canal (GI tract) into substances that can be absorbed and used by the body; understand or assimilate (new information) or the significance of something by a period of reflection.  As a noun it’s a compilation (collecting or assembling) of data; writings.

When God brought the revelation truth to us, we began to compile this data or writings and reflect on St. John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God!  Vs 14: And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we began to “collect our faculties” or "was awakened to truth", which brought about a “resurrection” (standing up; recovery of spiritual truth; awakening) in us as to who God is in us and who we are in God!!  We’re resurrected now because the resurrection who is Christ is in us!!  Look at what Paul said:

·         Ephesians 2:1: And you hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead (past tense) in trespasses and sins:  vs 6: And hath raised (sunegei’ro) [roused from death in company with; revived (spiritually) / (egei’ro) [to collect one’s faculties; to waken; rouse from sleep; sitting or lying; disease; death; ruins; obscurity; non-existence] us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!!!

So as we eat “the Lord’s Supper” or take “communion”, we are eating “the flesh of Jesuswhich is the Word of God.  So for us to “ingest” and “digest” His flesh, we must do what 2 Timothy 2:15 says: Study (spoud’azo) [to use speed; make effort; be prompt or earnest; endeavor; do diligence; be forward; labor] (to “hasten” to do a thing):  to show (paris’temi) [to stand beside; to exhibit; recommend; substantiate; to be at hand (or ready); present; bring before; provide] thyself approved (dok’imos) [acceptable; tried] unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed (disgraced), rightly (orthos’) [in a straight manner; correctly; making plain; honestly] dividing (orthotome’o)[make a straight cut; to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message)] the word (log’os) [something said (including the thought; topic [subject of discourse); reasoning (mental faculty) or motive] of truth (ale’theia) true / (althes’) as not concealing [taking off of the covers of that which is false or has been hidden].

The "drinking of His blood", is by the reception of God's Spirit.

This is how we attain eternal and everlasting life, by "eating the incorruptible flesh of Jesus":  (Acts 2:27): Because thou will not leave my soul in hell, neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption (decay) and "drinking His innocent (not guilty) blood": (Matthew 27:3-4): Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood".

Leviticus 17:11: The life of the flesh is in the blood.

When Jesus in John 20:22, breathed (exhaled His breath) on them (the disciples), and said unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost", they inhaled (breathed in) also the blood of Christ that was contained in the Spirit of Christ!  1st John 5:7: There are three that bear record in heaven (spiritually elevated places), the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost:  and these three are oneVs 8: And there are three that bear witness in earth (the body we live in), the spirit, and the water (Word), and the blood:  and these three agree in one.

The word agree in this verse is the Greek root word eisi (i-see), meaning, they are:  agree; are; be; is; were.  It goes to another root word eimi (i'mee), meaning, I exist:  am; have been; it is I; was. This tells us we were there existing in the beginning with our Heavenly Father!!  He is with us now, has always been, and forever will be!!  Hebrews 13:5c: I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee!!

Look at how these manifestations correlate (correspond) in "heaven" and in "earth":  [heaven] the Father; [earth] the Spirit:  [heaven] the Word; [earth] the water (the Word):  [heaven] the Holy Ghost, [earth] the blood.  GLORY TO GOD!!  So when we receive God's Spirit, we are receiving His blood also!!  Jesus said:

  • John 6:55: My flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  Vs 56: He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells (abides; continues; remains; stays; lives) in me and I in him.  Vs 57: As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father:  so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.  Vs 58: This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:  he that eats of this bread shall live forever.

[Got to take another praise break]!!!

So go ahead today and start "eating Jesus' incorruptible flesh" and "drinking His innocent blood" or shall I say, start "eating the chief meal" along with "drinking His  innocent (not guilty) blood"!!!

I will explain more of the "drinking of Jesus' blood" in part 3.
