I KNOW WHO HOLDS TOMORROW

Text: 40th Book of the Bible:  Matthew 6:25-26, 34  (KJV)
St. Matthew has 28 chapters, 1,071 verses, and c. 23,684 words; portrays Christ as Our King and a sign of Royalty.
Matthew 6:25  Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Matthew 6:26  Behold (look, observe, discern) the fowls of the air:  for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Matthew 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Did not the word say:

Hebrews 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another (meaning to invite by imploration, hortation or consolation).

Imploration - beg earnestly or urgently for.                                                                                               Hortation - serving or tending to exhort                                                                                                    Consolation - to comfort or cheer up.

And did not the word say also:

Ephesians 4:10-13  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,

 pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the

 body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

Paul is talking about when we all reach the point of maturity or degree of anointing, and we are touching the golden scepter that was in the hand of the king as Esther did in Esther 5:2.

So as an evangelist (which is the middle finger of the hand of the five-fold ministry; the farthest outreach; called to gather the people in) called by God, gifted, and anointed by God, I am commissioned to proclaim the gospel/good news, glad tidings of the kingdom.

God has sent me to encourage the people of God with the message: I Know Who Holds Tomorrow.

You know sometimes we get caught up or sometimes find ourselves saying some of what we call “father time” or a cliche’ such as: “You know tomorrow isn’t promised.” Well I come to serve notice on this morning…..the devil is a liar, and the truth isn’t in him.

Titus 1:2  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

Isaiah 56:12b  Tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

The reason why I know tomorrow is promised is because of Romans 10:9:

Romans 10:9-10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession

is made unto salvation.

Once you’ve accepted Jesus the Christ as your savior, you establish a covenant with God. We know a covenant is a binding agreement; a promise; a pledge. How many know with a covenant, there has to be some bloodshed?

Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (forgiveness of sin).

So that means the covenant was sealed with the blood of Jesus.

By applying the blood of Jesus to our lives, did it not say that life is in the blood? (Leviticus 17:11).

So that means “The River of Life” is flowing through our veins, and it’s the defense mechanism for our natural blood which gives us LIFE.” HALLELUJAH!!!! Life eternal!!!!

Blood represents life.  It is the vehicle that carries life through the avenues of the body, but it is not life itself.

You see……the red blood that flows through the veins of our flesh bodies does not carry the power to “cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.” It is the “blood of Christ….through the eternal Spirit,” that cleanses. Christ is the Word of God, and the life of that Word must be a form of energy far transcending any life current that exists permanently in blood.

This is letting us know that we can have eternal life here and now without dying and sailing off somewhere beyond the clouds to get it!  Whew!!!! That’s good news, church!

I also know who holds tomorrow…..

Because of the covenant which is a promise, and God is not a man that He should lie and his promises are trustworthy; backed by His oath; confirmed by Christ; and centered in Christ. Then we as believers, sons of God, or Christians can stand on God’s Promises!!!!

Numbers 23:19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  hath he said, and shall he not do it?  or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Why I know tomorrow is promised…….

Because first of all Jesus prayed:

John 17:2-3  As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus

Christ, whom thou hast sent.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         And again:

Titus 1:2  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

So you see El-Olam was before the world was framed.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Timothy 6:19  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Not only do His promises encompass everlasting life, but special blessing!!!

In other words, the spiritual truths revealed in Revelation must be implemented into our own experiences if we are to receive the promised special blessing: Revelation 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6; 22:7; 22:14.

Revelation is the only book in the Bible that promises a special blessing to those who study it. Revelation 1:3 is the first of seven “beatitudes” in this book.
Revelation 1:3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein.
Revelation 14:13: Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
Revelation 16:15: Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Revelation 19:9: Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Revelation 20:6: Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection.
Revelation 22:7: Blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Revelation 22:14: Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life.

This special blessing is promised, first of all, to those who read this book. Many Christians have bypassed Revelation because it is full of signs and symbols they do not understand, and what they do not understand frightens them.

However, the promise is that we will be blessed even if we just read the book.

Also, the special blessing is promised to those……that hear the words of his prophecy….This would refer to those who listen as it is read and taught. To read means to know, understand, and become aware.

Not only does God’s promises encompass everlasting life, and special blessing, but victorious living as well.

Romans 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:38-39  For I am persuaded (fully assured), that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His covenant also comes with a shipment of goods:
Isaiah 11:1-2: And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:  And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
And we know that Branch was Christ (according to Jeremiah 23:5) which encompasses the seven spirits which are a special anointing indicating the complex completeness of God!!!!
As I stated in the beginning, God didn’t say tomorrow is not promised.  He said take no thought for your life (Matthew 6:25)  Take therefore no thought for the morrow:  for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself (Matthew 6:34).
In order to apprehend, comprehend or reprehend that scripture, we must know what these words mean.                                                                                                                                                Apprehend - to see something of its meaning, or worth but not all its relationship                                Comprehend - to grasp it completely and to understand fully and perfectly.                                         Reprehend - pull back; re-back originally (original formation).
You must first do what Matthew 6:33 says: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Kingdom of God is a person and is contained in Jesus Christ Himself.  That’s why Jesus said in Matthew 6 seek ye first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness. The kingdom of God is a person, and if you have Jesus living inside of you, then you have the kingdom living inside of you.

This is why it’s so relevant and vitally important that you come to understand what the kingdom of God means. The word kingdom goes back to the Greek (basileia) or if you trace it all the way back to the root word in the Greek (basis), it has to do with the foot. It goes all the way back to Abraham when God told Abraham get up and walk up and down through this valley and land and I’m going to give you all the ground you set your foot upon
Genesis 13:17  Walk through the land, in the length of it and in the breadth of it, for I will give it thee.
I would like to bring this down to more of a contemporary application and something that is very applicable to your life. Consider your physical body as being that which is earth - taken from the earth that we now are able to put under foot; that which disobeys and that which comes against the kingdom. The biggest battle going on now with the church is in the mind, the way you think.  It happens in the way your thoughts are carried out.
Philippians 2:5-6  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Matthew 6:25  Is not the life more than meat?

Since life itself and the body were provided by God, shall we not trust Him to provide that which is less important?  God provides sustenance (nourishment for sustaining life) for birds that have not the ability to sow, reap, or store food.  How much more can men, who have been provided with these abilities, trust our Heavenly Father who is our nourisher and our provider?

Whatever the need may be………didn’t God show up!!!!

No food on the table……

No money in my pocket or in the bank……

Bills due………..

Enemy rushing in on all corners of life………yet God showed up in every situation!

As the songwriter so well stated it…..

I don't know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
I don't borrow from the sunshine
For its skies may turn to gray
I don't worry o'er the future
For I know what Jesus said
And today He lives within Me
For He knows what lies ahead
I don’t know about tomorrow                                                                                                                     Meaning, what tomorrow may bring                                                                                                          But the one who feeds the sparrow
Is the one who stands by me
Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand!!!

Clap Your Hands and Give God The Highest Praise!!!
