It's in the Blood!

This message is presented in 3 parts.  Part 2 will be available on Dec. 2, 2013, and Part 3 will be available on Dec. 9, 2013.  We pray blessings on your reading and understanding of the Word!

Part 1

The Book of Leviticus tells us much concerning laws of sacrifices and offerings, typifying what Jesus would become for us, GOD'S OFFERING AND OUR SACRIFICE”!

In Hebrews 9:18 "Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood(Vs 22) without shedding of blood is no remission".  It was not optional.  The penalty for sin had to be paid with blood!  This is what my subject is about: “IT’S IN THE BLOOD”!

Leviticus 17:11: "For the life of the flesh is in the blood:  and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul".

Webster's Dictionary defines blood as the red fluid circulated by the heart throughout the body that carries oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body.   The Hebrew word dam or dawm’ means blood as that which when shed causes death of man or an animal; by analogy the juice of the grape; bloodshed (i.e. drops of blood, bloody, person, bloodguiltiness, bloodthirsty).  It connotes the blood of animals, birds, and men.
Genesis 9:4 states that blood is synonymous with “life”.  "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat”.

*** The value in relation to the usefulness, worth, the significance of “life” as a gift of God, led to the prohibition (forbiddance; disallowance; restriction) against eating “blood”.

St. John.6:53: “Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
“DRINK”, or pi’no, means to imbibe or to drink:  to take into the mind and retainto absorb; to suck up; receive into one’s consciousness.

*** DIGESTION begins with the mouth (mastication or chewing).  Meat or solids, you must chew!  YOU DON’T CHEW LIQUIDS!  You just “take it in”!  Once the “digestion” process is complete, it goes into the bloodstream to be distributed throughout the body for oxygen and nutrients for the maintaining of “life”!

Example:  Sometimes after we eat we say, “Let me drink something to wash this down”!

SPIRITUALLY:  St.John.6:53: “Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man”!  When we eat the Word of God, we are eating His flesh!  St.John.1:1: "In the beginning was the Word”.  Then St. John.1:14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us"!  So as we eat His Word (His flesh), then we can wash it down with His “blood” (His Spirit).

Remember the definition of “drink” meaning to imbibe (“take into the mind and retain”)!  That’s what we’ve got to do with the Word of God.  We must take it in and hold it; keep it; maintain it; preserve it; grasp it; possess it; apply it to every area of our life, mind, heart, soul, and body!

Philippians 2:5:”Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus”!
Mind in the Greek is phrone’o, meaning the exercising of the mind in a certain direction.

Philippians 4:8: ”Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.

There is an advertisement that comes on television from time to time, and the statement made is this:  “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”!  Oh how true!  We shouldn’t let our minds wander but keep it focused on God - on things that are good, and positive!

1 Corinthians 2:16: "But we have the mind of Christ".
This word mind is nous, which deals with the intellect, in relation to thought, feeling, will, and understanding.  It also comes from another root word ginosko, which means to “know” (absolutely) in various applications as to be aware (of); have knowledge; be resolved; can speak; be sure.  This is the taking in of knowledge; to come to know; recognize; to understand completely!

Mark 13:28-29: "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:  So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

St. John 13:12: "So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, 'Know ye what I have done to you?'"

Matthew 16:16-17: "And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.  And Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:  for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven'".  This is the place we must come in to - “the Peter Class”!  The place of getting the revelation of who Christ is!!

Of all that God created and made, MAN is the apex; the acme; the peak; the crown of His creation!!  When you take a look at the ANATOMY (structure) & PHYSIOLOGY (function) of MAN, it’s quite interesting and very mind boggling!

Anatomy in Greek is ana (up); tome (a cutting): is a dissecting to understand the structure of Man.
Physiology in Greek is physis (nature); logos (study): how the structure functions.
Biology in Greek is bios (life); logos (study): study of this awesome creation Man.

IT BEGINS WITH:

ORIENTATION AND ORGANIZATION OF THE HUMAN BODY:
1.         Anatomy & Physiology of the Man
2.         The Chemical composition of the Body
3.         Cell structure and Genetic regulation
4.         Enzymes, Energy and metabolism
5.         Membrane transport and the membrane potential
6.         Histology
7.         Homeostasis and control mechanisms

SUPPORT AND MOVEMENT OF THE HUMAN BODY:
1.         The Integumentary System
2.         Skeletal System
3.         Articulations
4.         Muscular System
5.         Surface Anatomy and Body Topography

INTEGRATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS OF THE HUMAN BODY:
1.         Functional Organization of neural tissue
2.         Central nervous system
3.         Peripheral nervous system
4.         Autonomic nervous system
5.         Sensory organs
6.         Endocrine system

REGULATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE HUMAN BODY:
1.         Circulatory system
2.         Cardiac output, Blood flow, and Blood pressure
3.         Blood composition and clotting mechanisms
4.         Immune system
5.         Respiratory system
6.         Digestive system
7.         Urinary system

Talking about the REGULATION [adjustment; order; management; direction; organization] and MAINTENANCE [support; carrying; preserving; keeping; upholding]
of the body, it’s in the circulatory system or “blood flow”!
We understand that it takes all the systems working together for the body to function properly, but the focus is on the “blood system” or “circulatory system”.

As you look at the name of our Creator Eloheem, He is the God of "blood"!  The blood in our bodies gets its red color from the pigment “hemoglobin”, which transport oxygen and carbon dioxide through the body.
Hemoglobin in the (Greek) is haima: and so is Blood from the (Greek) word hai’ma!
So the life of these flesh bodies we live in is in the blood that’s circulating in it. This is in the natural, so how much more having the BLOOD OF JESUS IN US! This life comes from God and He designed the body this way!  What an AWESOME GOD!

As you look into the Bible you can see “blood” circulating throughout the pages of the scriptures to cleanse what was our “guilty stains”!  Though under the Old Covenant there was the usage of the blood of animals, but when the New Covenant was established, God used the blood of His Son!

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will O God.  He taketh away the first that he may establish the second.  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST ONCE FOR ALL (Hebrews 10:9-10).

(Genesis1:26) in relation to the Man (awdawm’) his name means to show “blood” in the face!  In Revelation 19:13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in bloodand his name is called The Word of God”!  From Genesis to Revelation there is “blood”.
